Why is my package status stuck at "Departure from departure exchange point"?
Sometimes the tracking information is not updated in time. Another possibility is that your package has already left China but the following status can't be tracked because the destination country doesn't support China Post tracking.
When can I receive my package?
It depends on the type of China Post service you have chosen. Normally it takes 7-20 business days for AIR and SAL mail and 40-70 days for ground mail. If there were any delays, it would take up to 180 days. You can check the status via our tracking tool. If it is an urgent package, it is recommended to pay more for an air mail.
I found the location of PVG/PEK/FOC/CAN by tracking my package. What do these initials refer to?
These are the IATA codes for airports. PVG refers to Shanghai Pudong Airport. PEK refers to Beijing Capital International Airport. FOC is the ITIT code for Fuzhou Changle International Airport. CAN is the airport code for Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.
I ordered an item from China and received a tracking number, but the tracking information shows "Opening". What does that mean?
China Post provides online tracking service for registered parcels, but sometimes the information in English is not very clear.
"Collection" means that the post office has received the package; "Opening" refers to the passage of customs control; "Departure from Customs Office of Exit" indicates that the package was ready for shipment to the country of destination.
What is the reason why there are no tracking records for my tracking number?
If no tracking records exist for your tracking number, it may be because you entered the numbers incorrectly. You must ensure that you have entered the correct number. In addition, the shipping information takes some time to appear in the system after the package is shipped. It is recommended to wait a day or two before checking. If you still cannot see the records, please contact China Post official customer service.
I haven't received an update in the past few days. Where is my package? Lost on the way?
No more updates means not lost. There are many reasons for that:
- It may not be trackable after leaving China First Station because it is China Post Ordinary Package. China Post Ordinary Parcel Tracking Number Formats: UC123456789CN, 123456789. Most retailers on eBay, Wish or Aliexpress are happy to use this method to ship items at low prices.
- Could not be tracked after leaving China. This also happens with China Post Ordinary Parcel.
- If the package has been exported, the shipment status will not be updated until the package reaches the destination country. This period can last from 3 to 60 days depending on the shipping method.
- The carrier can refrain from entering tracking information.
- Your package may have been lost during the transit period.
My package was stuck somewhere for a few days. Could you update the information?
ParcelsApp is a tracking website that receives tracking data from various couriers and provides you with the tracking information for free. We are not a logistics company, so we cannot do anything for the delivery process. Only if the courier updates your details can we update them accordingly. If you find your package stuck somewhere more than ten days, you'd better contact your local courier to check for you.
What can I do if the tracking result shows "Customs Denied" or "Security Denied"?
The tracking status sometimes shows as "Security Check Denied" or "Customs Denied" or "Rejected". This is usually caused by the following two reasons:
The prohibited item in the package includes a mobile phone, iPad, speaker, etc. (Check China Post's prohibited item list here.) If your package contains an item on the prohibited list, you can no longer receive the products. You need to open a dispute with the seller and ask for the refund. Occasionally the packet can also be rejected by a machine error. This often happens with phone cases, toys, etc. that look like a prohibited item.
If the refusal was made in error. It may be re-submitted to security after a period of time. The rejection and resubmission process can be repeated many times. So if the package is rejected by mistake, the package has a good chance of arriving in the future, but it will still be seriously delayed.
If you think your package does not contain anything on China Post's prohibited items list, you can wait another 2-5 weeks (but never after the ebay/aliexpress/amazon Buyer Protection expiry date). If your buyer protection is about to expire and your package hasn't arrived, you should open a lost package claim as soon as possible.
What should I do if package delivery fails?
If the tracking status shows "Delivery Failed", it means the carrier tried to deliver it to the recipient but was unsuccessful due to the wrong address or the recipient was unable to connect by phone. In this case, most carriers keep the package at the post office for about two weeks. You must contact the carrier as soon as possible to request a new delivery. Or it will be returned to the sender after two weeks.
What does the status "Collection", "Opening", "Shipping", "Departure point of exchange point", "Arrival of exchange point" in the tracking result mean?
collectionit means your package has arrived at the post office.
to shipIt refers to the package leaving the above office to China Post export port in another city.
openingThis means that the package has arrived at the local processing center and is being processed. Or the big package containing your package and others will be opened by Chinese customs for checking and shipping. (Your package is not opened).
Departure from the exit exchange officemeans your package is ready to be shipped to the destination country.
Arrive at the ticket exchange pointThis means that your package has arrived in the destination country.
What to do if the tracking status says "successfully delivered" but I haven't received it?
If the package says "successfully delivered", it generally means that the recipient has received it. If you haven't received it, you'd better check the mailbox or ask your friends or neighbors. One of them can take it for you. Or contact the courier who delivered your package to ask where it was delivered and who received it.
How do I change the parcel address?
In general, the recipient's address cannot be changed after the package has been shipped. You'd better track the status and once you find it, reach the destination country, please contact the local shipping agent to change the address.
How long does it take for China Post parcel to reach my country? How long does it take for my tracking status to update?
The exact arrival time of China Post International Parcel cannot be known. The reasons behind this unpredictable arrival problem is that China Post's international packages actually go through a network called Global Postal Union.
The members of this union are postal companies from different countries and most of the countries in the world belong to this union.
Parcels from China will therefore pass through many member countries of the Union before reaching their destination. The postal company of the destination country is responsible for delivery.
The key point is, once the package has been delivered to the customs or airline and is on its way to the nearest union member system, China Post will no longer inspect the package and will not even know the exact status and location of the package to the nearest union member. country will scan your package.
After China Post lost control of the package, the package status in the tracking result will appear as Frozen or with statuses like Sent to Airline, Export Security Scan, Customs Scan Export, Delivered to Airline quite long (2-4 weeks in regular season and 4-8 weeks in peak season) Once the next member of the postal union scans the package again and sends the data to China Post through the computer system of the Global Postal Union, China Post will update the package status with the new information.
If the destination country does not scan the package or send the scan result to the Universal Postal Union, the status will be frozen forever. So if your package status has been frozen for a few weeks, it doesn't necessarily mean that there is something wrong with your package.
In high season the arrival time can be double or triple the regular season.
There are many factors affecting the delivery time, including national events and festivals, departure port traffic situation, etc.
